Italian American dish with shrimp and linguine. Tossed in a spicy tomato sauce.

Ingredients
- •1 lb Shrimp — Defrosted, peeled and deveined
- •2 tbsp Olive Oil
- •1 ea Small onion — chopped
- •4 ea Garlic Clove — chopped
- •14 oz Can crushed or diced tomatoes
- •1 ea Can of tomato paste — Optional
- •0 tt Red Pepper Flakes
- •0½ cup Dry white wine or cooking wine
- •0½ tsp Oregano
- •0 tt Salt and Pepper
- •0 tt Parsley — chopped
- •6 ea Fresh Basil Leaves — chopped
- •8 oz Linguine

Heat oil in large pan to medium heat. Season the thawed (if frozen) shrimp with salt and pepper and 1 tsp of chili flakes. Cook 2-3 minutes each side, then set aside.

Add onion and more olive oil if needed to the same pan. Cook them down 5 minutes to soften

Add garlic and cook for a minute

Start heating up pot of water to cook linguine. Time cooking linguine with simmering of the sauce.

Add crushed tomatoes, can of paste if using, chili flakes (start with 1 tsp and add more to taste), white wine, oregano, salt and pepper to taste.

Simmer sauce for 10-15 minutes and cook linguine while simmering.

Stir in reserved shrimp and heat for about a minute.

Stir in parsley and basil. Adjust to taste the chili pepper flakes, salt and pepper

Remove from heat and toss with prepared linguine noodles.
